When questioned about new Nissan Z's arrival, Ivan Espinosa, an executive in charge of product planning said we "can expect something soon" and that he "can’t share what but that doesn’t mean we’re not working on them. Nissan is about exciting cars." Its a big hint at the Z35 (380Z? 400Z?) being release sometime soon, around the same time a development vehicle disguised as a 370Z was spotted.

So does anyone have info on a timeline here at all?

I suspect Coronavirus has pushed everything back, but were we looking at a 2020 debut originally?

I have to think it's 2021 at this point.

It will most likely be late 2021. I just hope that the new design team will do a great job and get all aspects of the car perfect from engineering, performance and external design. There's a lot riding on this car.

Agreed. Maybe I'm not being kind enough to the Z, but I always feel like it's not necessarily the "best" car in its class, but it is a stupid value. The 370 packs a LOT of car for the money.

The Z has always been a tremendous value, like a Mustang or Camaro, but the Z handles better, looks better, and is more reliable. The VQ is solid.

I'll wait for the new Z. What I'm really holding out for is a modern interior -- the current car offers impressive performance, but in 2020 I want something with an updated interior.
