regular C8s are going for 100K right now. the new corvette values are one of the craziest car markets out there as they are so hard to get. the 2022 my dad has ordered stickers at like 89K. he probably wont get it until spring.

these z06's speced out will be 120-130 (before the mark ups) still an insane price for what looks to be a world beater

To me, it begs the question....

If that can be built for a price point under 100K...

What could be built with a shared transverse drivetrain mounted behind the driver's seat, and half the horsepower and less weight.

If this is the new definition of a Corvette... what would be today's Fiero GT or MR2 Turbo equivalent for half the price and half the power, and 10% less weight and exterior size.

A lot of race worthy tech, still a bargain, but no way to get one under $120k IMO. Does Chevy control ADM's on MSRP? Based on current C8 market, it's also at dealers' mercy.

Yeah the markup Corvettes get blows my mind. It's as if sellers think each car is a 1 of 1 super special edition or something.
Because of Corvette demographics and the lack of a manual transmission, I have to believe the average age of a C8 buyer is quite high, so perhaps there’s more of an urgency to getting the car as the clock “winds down” on these well-heeled seniors.
