2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 Brings 670 HP of Naturally Aspirated Fury
With a screaming flat-plane-crank 5.5-liter V-8 engine that revs to 8600 rpm, the C8 Z06 is a return to the purity of the Z06's glory days.
Not a big fan of the C8 design but developments like this make up for it I think.
All that for what, $85,000? Amazing. Might consider getting one eventually.8600 RPM on a flat crank V8 producing 670hp is a hell of a development.
You can get 13" wide carbon fiber 21 wheels. That's pretty crazy 😧
Engineering Explained did a great deep dive into the Z06's engine and how it makes more power than the bigger engine it replaces.8600 RPM on a flat crank V8 producing 670hp is a hell of a development.

I'm not exactly sure buy my guess is that they don't and it's going to be another nightmare of ridiculous markups.A lot of race worthy tech, still a bargain, but no way to get one under $120k IMO. Does Chevy control ADM's on MSRP? Based on current C8 market, it's also at dealers' mercy.
No way. Will likely be $120k with all the options and closer to $90k for a base model. All that for what, $85,000? Amazing. Might consider getting one eventually.
$85,000-$90,000 is what I'm seeing as the estimates for the MSRP as well.No way. Will likely be $120k with all the options and closer to $90k for a base model.
Welcome to the forum. That is still reasonable consider what we're getting. No way. Will likely be $120k with all the options and closer to $90k for a base model.
Yeah the markup Corvettes get blows my mind. It's as if sellers think each car is a 1 of 1 super special edition or something. The ONLY reason these cars are going for six figures is people are willing to pay the ADM. Stop paying ADM and buyers win.
Because of Corvette demographics and the lack of a manual transmission, I have to believe the average age of a C8 buyer is quite high, so perhaps there’s more of an urgency to getting the car as the clock “winds down” on these well-heeled seniors.Yeah the markup Corvettes get blows my mind.
