Why do that, it's one part that makes the Z simple and lighter, plenty of other areas to mod.

While that's true, ever since having cars with hood struts I always preferred them and the added weight doesn't concern much. It just won't be top priority with mods but more of an extra down the road as strut kits show up.

yes; I did with my 2008 Mustang.. was very easy & custom fit from the supplier

Easy, I installed them on my Tacoma. Lifts 8" above stock prop rod height now.

The same vendors that produced them for the 370z should be back for the new Z.
How long did it take you two to install them?

Strut installation took maybe 1 hour tops.

Personally I'd be more interested in changing the hood so it opens from the rear like the old S30 models. I wish Nissan would have done that as long as they were going for the retro vibe.

Saw that Jay had released the video earlier today. I generally like his reviews and this one is no exception.

And the Nismo exhaust sounds pretty good. Much better than the stock exhaust on the 6 speed manual.
