BaT Essentials
The R34 GT-R was designed by Kozo Watanabe and featured a front spoiler, a rear wing, xenon headlamps, an aluminum hood, and a shorter front overhang than its predecessor. The V-Spec model was also fitted with a carbon fiber rear diffuser, and just 282 examples were finished in the Midnight Purple II (LV4) color seen here. Paint meter readings taken from various panels are shown in the gallery below. Additional details include tinted rear windows, front wind deflectors, and a rear wiper.
Factory 18″ wheels were refinished in December 2020 and are wrapped in 255/40 Bridgestone Potenza S001 tires with 2016 date codes. The car features HICAS all-wheel steering and was fitted with Öhlins coilovers during the December work, though removed stock suspension components are reportedly included in the sale. Stopping power is provided by gold Brembo brake calipers paired with aftermarket slotted rotors. A four-wheel alignment and a brake fluid flush were also performed.
The right-hand-drive cabin is trimmed in gray and black, and features manually-adjusted sport seats trimmed in rubberized fabric upholstery with red stitching. Amenities include automatic climate control, power windows and mirrors, and a cassette stereo.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an aluminum-trimmed instrument cluster consisting of a 160-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, and secondary gauges. The digital odometer reads 64k kilometers (~40k miles), 500 of which have been added by the seller. Additional information is displayed on a 5.8″ multifunction LCD located in the center of the dash, including live readings of engine and vehicle statistics.
The twin-turbocharged 2.6-liter RB26DETT inline-six features dual overhead camshafts, four valves per cylinder, and six individual throttle bodies, and was factory rated at 276 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Work performed by Blue Chip Services of Englewood, Colorado in December 2020 included replacement of the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, ignition coils, oxygen sensor, and valve covers. The fuel injectors were also refurbished, and oil and coolant changes were performed.
Power is delivered to all four wheels via a Getrag six-speed manual transmission and an ATTESA all-wheel-drive system. The V-Spec model came standard with an electronically-controlled active limited-slip rear differential. The transmission fluid and differential oil were also changed in December 2020.
A Show or Display exemption letter from NHTSA addressed to the seller is pictured above, and records from the December 2020 service are provided in the gallery below.
