Production Version in 2022
Nissan claims the production version will closely resemble the concept. Although not confirmed, the latest rumors say the car's market launch has been delayed to sometime in 2022 as a 2023 model year vehicle. Prior rumors had indicated the first production cars would be available in September 2021.
Manual Transmission Confirmed
Nissan has confirmed the new Z will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission. Enthusiasts everywhere rejoiced. An automatic transmission will also be available.
2023 Nissan Z vs. Toyota GR Supra 3.0
Unlike the new Z, the Toyota Supra—the new Z's chief rival—is not available with a manual transmission. The two cars should be closely matched otherwise.

Nissan designed the new Z Proto with taillights that recall the Z32-generation 300ZX.
Twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6
Nissan has not yet revealed the final power figures. The production car could offer as much as 400 hp.
