Since a lot of the tech will come from this, I sure hope the new Z will be at 4.0 secs or better to 60 mph, best here at 4.5 AWD with more weight.

But Nissan needs to leave this tech out, just not proper for a sports car:
"Critics have been tough on the Q50 Red Sport 400's steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire systems, and indeed the steering is vague and light in the Normal drive mode"

Oh, I suspect that the performance will be at the level of the Supra (mid-high 3-sec range, 0-60; 12 sec, 1/4 mile), possible better, right out of the box. I do think that the Z will be more analog than the Q60 both to preserve its character and to fully differentiate them. They target different clients, after all.

If the 400Z has steer by wire, I’m out
Not sure if a deal breaker for me yet, but close! Even drive-by-wire is never linear, that's got to go also.

My E60 M-Sport was the last of the hydraulic-steering BMW variants, so tactile, great feel.
