It may just be me, but I wasn't as impressed with the recent NSX than I was with the original.

If they go all-electric, it better be like the original - comparable performance EV for a bargain price. The original's styling was also very different than the other supercars of the day it was compared to. I wish Acura the best, but they've got extremely large shoes to fill.

Compared to other cars in its category the second gen NSX did seem a bit subdued, but still a solid car I think. If they go EV they should have more freedom for designing the body than compared to another hybrid car. It'll be interesting to see what they'd come up with.

Don't get me wrong, I agree the second gen NSX is/was excellent. I occasionally look at the used market, hoping for a price break - but they're holding their value quite well.

It just wasn't the "breakthrough" hybrid that everyone was hoping it to be.

I will also look forward to the EV version, but think that short of incorporating superconductor technology, and with the maturity of Li-ion and motor technology - Acura will be hard pressed to bring a true blockbuster to market. Let's see what they come up with!

The 2nd gen NSX is definitely a legit performance car.

I just can't see spending that much money for something with batteries that'll eventually need replacement. Even more so with a full EV NSX.

I guess the 2nd gen NSX has an awesome TTV6, that makes the car more exciting, I have even heard NSXs without hybrid exist for racing.

If i remember correctly the NSX Super GT cars from 2017 onward don't have a hybrid system because Super GT banned them from competition.

Yeah it's a really interesting decision given how much hybridization there is in racing. In fact Super GT has banned hybrids until at least 2030.

DTM say's YES, Super GT say's NO!

DTM has said yes to Hybrids for the 2021/2022 season but Super GT has said NO till at least 2030. Does this put the partnership in Danger?

I don't think Acura have any idea what they'll do next.

This NSX will be remembered as better than its reception, but that's not saying much.

And Acura has ZERO EV strategy right now. They are basically planning to borrow GM's Ultium battterries.

Could you imagine if the NSX EV is powered by GM batteries?? Oh man that wouldn't be a good look for Acura.
