I don’t think they know. Lol. I’d love to think January at one of Japan’s biggest show. They have a show in October too. I feel it’s smart to get it out there at least let’s say 8 months before release. IMO this gives people ample amount of time to be ready to purchase to get sales up at time of release. Not wait few months before. I’m hoping to purchase in November next year myself. But it would be nice of Nissan to release a date for its showing. They sure are going about it on their other vehicles right now.
When is the car scheduled to be available for sale? Subtract 6-8 months from there and that's likely when it will be released. If nissan wants to be clever, they'll show the concept version of the Z (not some render) to get people talking and then a few months later follow it up with the production car. You don't want to release the car too early as people will forget about it (or lose interest) before it comes out. It's about releasing the right information at the right time to build the most excitement.
I think the Supra was overexposed
prior to it’s release to The point much of the initial excitement had worn off. It‘s so over styled in my opinion. Don’t see many middle aged guys driving that when better looking cars with equal performance and costs are out there. The new Z looks classy. I’d like to get teasers every once in a while put save the whole reveal for the wedding night.
If Toyota would’ve stuck to this FT1 concept like everybody thought it was going to be the Supra would of easily been a topic of discussion. Course 400hp and a manual would of sent it over the top at thy price. But hey, going to make the Z look that much better of a bargain.
