I like the black, but can’t tell if Z has black rims or like dark grey powder coated rims. Anyone know? If rims are black then the black Z be too black I think.

Nissan refers to them as black but in all the pics I've seen they look more like a super dark graphite grey in comparison to for example I have a black nismo GTR with black wheels and those wheels are just a true gloss black.

The one shot of a black Z on the car carrier we have seen the wheels don't look as black as the car

I agree that these wheels look like a very dark graphite with a high gloss finish. Honestly, they're probably a very similar shade to the black rims that were offered in the final years of the 370Z. Mine only look truly black if they're telling me that the car needs a wash

They almost look like they have black on the front and silver or dark gray on the sides

I hope our wheels won't get coated in it by much. At least on black it won't show too much.

na not that much. ive had dark or black wheels for over a decade and I just hit them with sprayway glass cleaner and it takes the dust right off. this stuff works great on wheels as it foams up. works great on getting the black off exhaust tips too

forgot to add if you keep a coat of ceramic on them it really helps the dust stay off the wheels and keeps the black looking glossy instead of that ugly brown look

Thanks for the tips @MCN1SMO. I'm always concerned about how wheel cleaner would react on the original finish and that glass cleaner should be very gentle. Some are so harsh that you should probably wear a mask while using them.

oh yeah for sure some of that can literally take your breathe away especially that all in one wheel and tire cleaner. I've been using foaming glass cleaner for years after I discovered it was perfect for my titanium exhaust.

I keep my wheels looking just like this all the time with just glass cleaner

Might get wheels on the Z ceramic coated to make life easier. Plus I hear it adds a bit of gloss which I think might help, or at least to lock in the new look longer. I'll never get tired of looking at those R35 NISMO wheels
