A Brilliant Silver Z test vehicle with the blue interior was spotted with a bunch of damage to the body. Was it involved in a crash or is it just battle scars from testing?
Looking a little worse for wear.
I would hope so - the whole dash looks a little unfinished on this one. Some details are definitely production but I think you're right on and this isn't exactly how the center console will look.the plastic area around the auto shifter looks very plain. im hoping that is preproduction right?
With this large exposed cabe it has to be a pre-production car.the plastic area around the auto shifter looks very plain. im hoping that is preproduction right?
This cable probably hooks to a laptop for data acquisition. The gray and silver cars test mules. With this large exposed cabe it has to be a pre-production car.

Agreed the engine doesn't look cramped inside the bay at all. Thanks for posting. It's nice to see the engine bay without the plastic covers. Looks familiar coming from the Q60RS, in fact it looks like there is more room to work with on installing BOV which is nice
Yep, I may leave the cover off for tracking, easier maint if have to, between sessions. Thanks for posting. It's nice to see the engine bay without the plastic covers. Looks familiar coming from the Q60RS, in fact it looks like there is more room to work with on installing BOV which is nice
I watched/listened to this video, paying close attention to the sound. In an automatic, the Z doesn’t sound great at all. With a stick it’s a little better but still not as nice at a 370Z/G37/Q60 (with the 3.7). I know aftermarket exhausts will proliferate and improve the sound, but it’ll never be as nice as a stock NA Nissan V6 is now nor will it ever approach the NA engine with an aftermarket exhaust. I also hope the interior finishes (and exterior paint as well) hold up a LOT better than this presumably pre-production example. Still a fan, but progress always has a price.A Brilliant Silver Z test vehicle with the blue interior was spotted with a bunch of damage to the body. Well said. Having had two 350s, a 370, and a Q I couldn't agree more.I watched/listened to this video, paying close attention to the sound. In an automatic, the Z doesn’t sound great at all.
