Canadian *confirmed* pre-order status updates?

Figured I'd start this thread for those of us 🇨🇦 with confirmed pre-orders to commiserate over the timing of getting delivery of our Zs.

I've been periodically checking in with my GTA dealership to get a status update. I continue to do this despite the fact that I figured out that I probably know more than the dealer does about the Z :giggle:. I checked in with the dealership this week and was told that they still have no updates as to timing -- and that their computer system isn't showing any progress either in terms of my vehicle (no VIN yet). I've kind of resigned myself to the fact that the Z may not arrive until mid-late August. Let's just hope it isn't that much later than August.

Anyone else heard anything?

I know it's sad, but at least this means the Z will be unobtanium rare in Canada for a while, which bodes well for the equity this car would hold.

Of course I'd rather keep it forever, but if I don't, it's good knowing I'll make most or all of my money back. That's not something I can say for most used cars out there right now, making the annoying wait ever so slightly more palatable. It's a shame this car has 0 direct new car competitors in Canada. You know what they say,

It eez what it eez
Doubt it. Anyone who preordered the car back in jan/feb is getting allocated, as nissan canada has stated they are sold out and not taking anymore orders until spring of 2023 where it says directly on the website they will be taking newer orders by then.
I don't know if I should keep waiting. Really really need a car right now and I'm on the fence of getting an F82 M4... Or getting something really cheap like a $15K Mini and trade in after Z comes...

Sure, they will take new orders in Spring, doesn't mean they will fulfill them any quicker. I might be wrong but Z being rare for a good while seems like a reasonable enough likelihood to consider.

Could be the first in canada. Anyone order at this dealership
WOW. Really happy for whoever's Z this is but is it possible that Nissan only sent ONE pre-ordered car to all of Canada???
I've been trying to see if there are other instagram posts from other GTA nissan dealerships with Zs.. can't find another one
More have been posted today. Seems like they are show room demos but not sure, some say they are for sale or preordered customers.

My dealer is getting their show piece next week with more cars en route in Jan.
This is all getting really frustrating. Not sure what's going on with this car.

Makes complete sense to me. My dealer was honest with 0 info for many months in a row, and now he says deliveries are coming in January therefore I can assume with solid conviction that someone's car will be here in a few weeks if not mine. Each car has a name on it from factory, it's just a matter of chance whose comes first. Assuming you pre ordered through the dealer and not online.

Yep dont be shocked if the cars slowly come in 1 by 1 all throughout 2023

The last communication from Nissan Canada (a few weeks ago) said that those of us that pre-ordered from our dealership would receive emails once our car went into production and we would then get notification as it progressed through the build/ship process. But, now we're seeing cars just showing up randomly.

I hope that's the price with freight and not before 😤

You're right but Nissan dropped the ball so hard with communication I'm not surprised.
Is this forum dead? Anyone take a delivery yet or have been updated
