Ferrari has filed a patent for a way to automatically adjust the ergonomics for a driver. It sites previous systems that only takes into account a rider's height. The benefit of Ferrari's idea is that it measures a driver's proportions, eye positions, etc... It describes a camera or some other kind of sensor, scanning the driver as they approach the door.
The patent describes how it's not just the seat that adjusts but also the steering wheel position and mirrors. It even goes as far as describing how the A/C and sound system can be adjusted to suit the driver's shape. It also takes into account whether you're driving on the track or on the street, or varying weather conditions to optimize ground visibility.
