Z32 owner here who previously lamented the "370 with a body kit" label on the new Z.
It's a great package, the 370 platform is a worthy contributor, and a fantastic design has convinced me I was wrong.

I don't get why people are down on Nissan about the chassis. If it worked, why start from scratch? It sounds like it's only been further improved, and all the major changes took place where it counts: it looks and is powered completely differently than the previous Z.
On top of that if Nissan did decide to develop a brand new platform for the Z the starting price would be no where close to the $40,000 it's going to be.I don't get why people are down on Nissan about the chassis. Exactly, and people are already complaining about the price. Everyone wants an $80K car for $30K.On top of that if Nissan did decide to develop a brand new platform for the Z the starting price would be no where close to the $40,000 it's going to be.
