Yeah, it does sound very much like a smoothed out VQ, that's spot on. I kind of expected something more aggressive/rambunctious-sounding but this isn't a bad starting point.

Very true. There's always hope for the NISMO version.
Plus for the regular Z models there's always aftermarket options.

I love how this Q60 sounds.

To compare, this when we first learned what the new Supra sounds like.

I have to think if the new Z had anything more to it, they would've displayed it in todays teaser.

Yeah, in combination, that gives a better sense of the actual sound. Does it sound to anyone else like the engine isn't under load in any of these?

Well tough to beat an inline-six and the supra has that. That car with exhaust sounds amazing. Z won't compare to that unfortunately. Still sounds good though.

That is what you get when you have too many cases. Cat case, Muffler case, resonator case.
Noise regulation be damned.

That sounds really good. The only thing is I don't want that drone want that perfect combo of nice accentuated sound but not extreme and if I'm in the highway quiet down until I'm on it. Not sure how this is under load or continuous 60-80mph pace.

I hope it sounds a bit more sporty since the Q60 is a premium sports coupe and Infiniti would likely not want it as racy. But judging from these videos that might be hard to tell without a side by side comparison.
