2nd week on forum and like to ask this question. Good college friend of mine in late 70s had 240Z that I drove many times since I could drive a stick and not many friends could. I could only find one pix of the vehicle on baseball road trip to Penn State. What little you can see in picture, what year is this 240Z? I honestly don't remember

The front bumper and red color says a 71-72 model, don't think there was a red in 69-70 and 73 has extended bumpers per crash regulations. If you have pics of the rear and side I can tell way more...I've had 4 240Zs over the years.

Hi, Don't have front pix unfortunately, this is the only older photo I could find. I hear you on it wasn't a '73 with that ugly bumper due to new US Govt regulations. I was just curious and nothing more

This link shows a 1971.5 model in green; notice the amber parking/turn signal lens under the headlight and below bumper.

This leads me to believe the car in your pic is 1970-71. The first cars produced at end of 69 were tagged as 70 cars.
