Hey all, just found this forum. I am excited about the new Z and am actively saving for one. I just turned in my leased Q60 Redsport and am ready to get back into a Z. I loved the Q but missed the manual tranny. I traded in my 40th anniversary Z on the Q and had the 03 track edition 350 and an 04 touring convertible as well. I pulled off my downpipes, CBE, blow off valves and a few other parts and I'm curious if they will fit the new Z. Has anyone seen pictures of the exhaust piping yet? The muffler and tips look exactly like the Q. I would love to be able to bolt up some parts week 1. Another question is how is the ordering on the 240 proto spec cars going to work? Do we know yet? Anyway, happy to meet more Z enthusiasts here.

The wheelbase is shorter on the Z so a cat back wouldn’t fit without modification. It’s possible that the down pipes and BOVs will fit great.

I haven’t heard any details on the proto spec ordering.

How did you like the Q60, why the move to the Z? Was it rwd or awd?

Hey @Firulice welcome to the forum! No information on ordering yet unfortunately. Here's an idea of what the Z's exhaust looks like underneath, are you thinking of getting a different exhaust setup?

THaskins thank you for the reply and picture. Yeah I figured I'd likely need to shorten the exhaust but I assume that wouldn't be too hard to do. The exhaust looks pretty much identical to the Q. I loved the Q but moving from a Z to the Q, I missed the Z. My Q was AWD. Honestly if it was available in a manual I would have bought out the lease.
