Hi all - Never was part of the JDM world. I'm 56 always wanted a Z - was going to buy a one owner California 1990 300ZX TT and a friend told me about the 400Z - went to my dealership and locked my spot up. Can create order when the begin taking - very excited. Currently driving a 2015 Challenger HellCat M6 with 141K miles and not getting rid of it.

Ask me anything and look forward to information gathering and can't wait for March.

What did the dealer require to lock in your spot? Are you still considering other vehicles to get or set on the new Z?

He didn't want any $$, its in my neighborhood he new my car and they put me into the system asked me what options I would want, I told them a stick and either a fairlady or nissmo whichever was offered and would prefer a blue car. They're thinking February some time they can place order. I was looking as I said at a 1990 300ZX when I found out about the 400 as with the Challenger the retro look appeals to me. I would've gotten a new Challenger Super Stock but they don't offer in a a M6 and that is almost a must for me

Hey @JonnyG welcome to the club! I'm surprised your dealer didn't ask for a deposit hopefully that doesn't change once Nissan opens orders.

Are those 141k miles in your Challenger all from you? If so that's amazing.

All those miles are me alone - if he wants a deposit I have no problem with it.

I also went to dealership - got on a list - I was first to inquire. wouldnt take an ernest check.
Dealership doesnt know anything yet. Nothing. Said they would contact me when they do. They said their "trainer" is coming in soon - they should know something......

Do you have a budget in mind?
Current Z pricing should help if you want to get an idea. Just make sure to add a 3-5% increase in price.

Dealer has agreed to Sticker so no premium. I will order either the Fairlady or Nismo - hope it is a Fairlady badge. I'm guessing around $53K.

I hope it's a Fairlady if not I would imagine their would be a Nismo badge/version

The Promo pictures showed Fairlady - that would be a shitty tease if they don't. I'm already thinking about what to call her and what my personalized license plate will be🤣

I think that badge will stay on as a tribute to the old cars but it won't formally be called the Fairlady. It's likely 400Z or just Z

Fairlady is more of a JDM thing but obviously widely adopted in the US, Europe and anywhere Z enthusiasts are.
I just hope that ordering new Fairlady badging from Nissan Japan will be easy enough and not ridiculously priced.
