Even a short film about 15-20 minutes long would be cool and very doable.

Nissan has been promoting it on Instagram lately. Here's what they posted today:

Something like the old BMW Films thing would be amazing. Remember those?

Or just go all-in and do a Truth in 24, the Audi documentary about the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Anyone else remember that?

This reminds me of the series Porsche has with Michael Fassbender where he's trying to drive for them at Le Mans. They're on their third season with him!

Looks like some Nissan dealers have these Thrill Driver posters to give away.

Having seen the Fairlady Z in orange with a beautiful front end (the split grille), and then seeing a production Z in yellow with the regular front end, I’m officially, “no thank you”. That is, unless, the Nismo gets that gorgeous front end. A year ago I’d have never believed I’d consider NOT getting the new Z but it’d be so glaringly wrong if Nissan didn’t do the right thing with the front end when the rest of the car seems so good that I’d follow my convictions and eschew the Z for my current ride and perhaps supercharge it later it if I grow envious of the Z’s 400hp under hood.

Great reply. The truth is that the more prospective buyers who complain about this obvious and easily reworked shortcoming, the more likely it’ll come to fruition. Do nothing, get nothing.

I suggest bringing up next model year changes we really want in this thread. Chances are Nissan is watching.

What are some things you hope Nissan will change for the second model year of the Nissan Z? Here's what I would like to see: ventilated seats head-up display (HUD) a better traction control setup carbon fiber body color roof standard limited-slip differential

Few people reached out to me after seeing the commercial and asked “are you getting the new Z?” HA

I really suggest you see it in person before you make your final decision. The front end looks different from the photos, which lack the ability to convey changes in depth. In 3D, the nose is not a rectangle, it curves forward as it reaches the center and the grill is tucked in. When you look at it from a standing height, it actually looks stunning. I know looks are subjective, but what isn't subjective is the front end looks better in person than the photos lead it to seem.

The headlights too are not given justice as they are not flat with the plane of the hood. They go diagonally backwards and upwards like an eye. Doesn't look awkward at all like the photos would lead you to believe.

This photo kinda shows the curve I'm talking about from above, but again it's limited by the 2 dimensions of a rastered image so it too, fails to deliver. The point is that awkward huge rectangle is not what the grill actually looks like, unless you shrunk to the height of a toddler.
