I still think the 2nd generation of the front bumper will be the sweet spot. Sides rear etc are so pretty but straight on from the front does not have that classic feel yet

The 2021 Miami Auto Show is kicking off this weekend and the Z made an appearance at one of their events yesterday. They had it on display with a bunch of other Zs.

That should mean that the Z will be on display for Nissan during the show too. For anyone interested in going it runs until the 24th.

Every time I see a photo of the Z followed by photos of a 240/260/280, I’m reminded of how awkward and flat out bad the headlights appear. And I don’t mean “bad” in a good way. It’s the worst design feature on the car. That sharp crease on the hood running into the Nissann

Every time I see the front end of the Z followed by photos of a 240/260/280, I’m reminded of how awkward and flat out ugly the Z’s headlights appear. They should be round. The power bump in the hood also looks forced for that matter. Smooth curves for the bump would’ve been much more attractive.

The lights are not so bad its the huge rectangular hole that just needs help. Maybe a body color or same color as the katana break thru the middle like the 240 or something. I am no car designer but the 1st picture from Miami looks bad where its a head on shot. 3/4 view of the front is not bad.

I am at peace with the rectangular hole. The production version looks much better than the rectangular abyss did on the earliest prototype. I just can’t get past how much I dislike the pinched, sharp corners of the headlamps. It won’t stop me from buying the car but it would be nice if it’s eventually changed.

The lights are really an interpretation of the 240z's lights in modern light format. Are they better? Not really but if that makes you feel any better.. I think the pointy bit at the rear of the light should arced around and connected with the hood line and if some body color was visible thru the light housing it could have been cool.

Looks amazing, like always. I'm really glad they are showing off the new Z, but I really want to see other COLORS! I cannot stress that enough. Photoshops can only do so much 😭

I really want to see how red/boulder gray looks. Also, I'd like to see some different combinations with the different interiors colors.

I'm with you on the red. I've been trying to figure out whether Rosewood Metallic or Passion Red will suit the Z more.

Absolutely. Perhaps round LED’s inset with the plastic cover as many 260/280 Z/ZX’s we’re back in the day.

Passion Red doesn't seem too far off from this color.
