The Z is currently on Display at Downey Nissan in California.
A sensor. Very cleverly hid in the grille design.. what looks unfinished about it??Noticed this on Facebook today at that dealership. Looks like a camera? Sensor? To me that doesn't look finished. I wonder if there is a way to clean that up a little before production?
That's probably for the safety stuff - lane departure, adaptive cruise - nicely integrated I think.Noticed this on Facebook today at that dealership. Looks like a camera? Sensor? To me that doesn't look finished. I wonder if there is a way to clean that up a little before production?
And they had to reveal that awesome Seiran blue, one of the best colors for this Z, but now everyone wants this color LOL. I might go another routeI liked the proto pics, but the production snaps are making me like it more and more.
Thankfully, they highlighted the grill. And with the pics out "in the wild" the katana design feature appears more like an accent, as it should be - vice a "streak of lighting" that it looked to be on the proto. So happy Nissan moved forward with this.![]()
I wonder if they'll offer Boulder Gray on the new Zs. I saw it on a new Rogue in the dealer lot a few months back. Problem is - I now see that type of gray (semi-matte) all over the place now, haha.
Thanks - I just searched and found the thread on the colors (derp). I appreciate you providing the info instead of "LMGTFY".Yes it's confirmed and it's one of the two tone colors with a black roof
Did anyone ever confirm if the black box in the lower grill is for adaptive cruise or some type of crash avoidance? or is there a tow hook screw in hole behind it or something?
Still not sure where a front plate would mount unless Nissan made a nifty bracket that clips to the grill somehow without drilling

My guess is that it's either for the cruise control or a parking sensor. Good catch I've never noticed that before.Noticed this on Facebook today at that dealership. Looks like a camera? Sensor? To me that doesn't look finished. I wonder if there is a way to clean that up a little before production?
