The Nissan Z has arrive at ZCON! These photos were taken from Colorado.
I wonder where the yellow one is.
They only brought the blue to ZCON per Dan's interview by Stevewithaz.I wonder where the yellow one is.
Finally a look under the hood!
I was there! Drove the Nismo down from Denver for some fun around the Springs. The car looked great! It's somehow much smaller in-person than I had imagined - even though it's basically the same as the 370z. The rear tightens the bulk of the entire car nicely in-person. I'm a bit nervous about all the piano black along the rear of the bumper, though. Bumped into Chris Forsberg and our pal, Dan! Awesome day! Finally a look under the hood!
Were you at the event @Wiggle Herf?
I wonder what changes they made to how things are set up here versus the Q60.
This is great to know! Nissan did a great job wrapping the body tightly with sweet design elements around that rear and sides, especially with the black roof. I remember when I first saw the FD RX-7, what a purposeful design that was, and still is.The car looked great! It was pretty cloudy, but I agree, the head/tail lights appeared darker. Headlights especially.was it the cloud cover or are the head and tailights in an outside setting look more tinted in real life?
Fantastic photos @Wiggle Herf! Were you able to drive on the track with the Z around the Pikes Peak circuit?
No, unfortunately I didn’t have a chance to participate in any of the events. I just made it to the free cars and coffee meet, then did a cannonball run of Pikes Peak (the mountain) on my own.Fantastic photos @Wiggle Herf! That's still a great way to spend your time at Zcon. How was the run up the mountain? No, unfortunately I didn’t have a chance to participate in any of the events. I just made it to the free cars and coffee meet, then did a cannonball run of Pikes Peak (the mountain) on my own.
Oh yeah! It was seriously the best day. The drive up Pikes Peak was one of the most fun, yet - almost no traffic. On the way down I hit a milestone as well - 86 degrees on my brakes at the check-point. I was proud of that one. That's still a great way to spend your time at Zcon. How was the run up the mountain?
