Hello everyone, new to the forum, 50 year Z owner. I've had probably 15 240Zs, 300ZX, 350Z and am getting a new Z, Passion Red, manual, performance. Waiting patiently and my local dealer assures me there will be NO ADM.

Welcome to the forum @griz240! Did your dealer give you a timeframe for when you can get your Z? Are you going to keep it stock or will you modify it?

The dealer has given no timeframe. I have scoured a number of dealerships to find a red Z, none to be found. There are a number of blue performance manuals, but every dealer wants between $5200 and $13000 ADM. I'm estimating end of March for the order book to open, but I have no basis for the estimate.
As to the modifications, I'll (likely) remain pretty stock for now. I have 3 240Z in the garage (1 each 1970, 71, 72) and they are in various states of mod and repair. (1 hail recovery with 3.0 stroker, 1 w/o a motor, the yellow one finished with LS1 and T56...) Once I get those done and off to the kids, I'm certain I'll just itching to make changes. (Likely lowered, computer mods, exhaust...)

Have you tried dealers in more rural areas? They often don't charge ADM.
Are you set on the Z or would consider something else (Supra?) if markups get out of hand?

Agreed on the suggestion for more rural dealers, the Wichita dealer wants $10k, Hutchinson dealer is good without any markup. Timing of getting the Z is the unknown.
No alternative to the Z, I've had at least 20, various years. I'll have the new Z next.

Hey all! Picked up my 2023 performance Z about two weeks ago. Come from a long line of fun cars, from my first being a 1971 240z to new Gtr’s and even co owning a grand am team racing Nissan 370z’s. My current line up is the new Z and a completely built 1995 Toyota Supra as well as a fit and currently shopping for a 4 seater. So far i love the Z, not as refined as my 2020 Supra or even my 2022 bmw m240i i traded in for this. But she really is a fun little ride! Already ordered a new lip from street hunters and am working on finding some coilovers currently. Wheels are being shipped around for as well. Excited to build this up.

Thank you for the add, looking forward to being a part of the forum! I’m a life long Z fan! I’ve owned several generations (my first car was a 280ZX). I recently purchased a new Rosewood Metallic Z! I absolutely love it, this car represents so much Z heritage. Cheers

Congrats on the Z! Do you think Nissan did enough to the new Z as a homage to the previous generations? Are you going to modify it?

Thank you! Yes, I think Nissan did a fantastic job. The new Z has the silhouette of the original 240, taillights from the Z32, and many other design features from previous generations. I’ve followed the development of this car for years and watched the reveal of the Proto livestream. I was very impressed, however seeing the car in person made me love it and respect the job Nissan did even more.

Cheers

Such a good color choice @Nick23Z! Is it an auto or a manual?
