For a year now I’ve been dying to get back to the track. I can’t believe I put myself in a situation where I haven’t tracked for a few years now. My wife and I have been back and fourth for so long about what to do and what car to track. I’ve always been a Z guy and always wanted a Porsche. But those cars are well out of my range. Even a 10 year old one. Then the aggravation of Nissan pulling the all to typical games. I was already looking at several options. The new Z which they can’t even tell us it’s name really just doesn’t POP for me. The sports look isn’t there and the rear just wasn’t growing on me.

When it comes to overall cost of a car plus the huge expensive i panned to put into a car. We couldn’t help but find the new C8 was the way to go. So we ordered one yesterday. It has the power, true track package, full adjustable suspension, and so on. It’s just about full package. Being a auto was hard to accept but after research and reaching out to people it’s a solid unit with the current power under track situations. With upgrades coming to make it stronger. The interior is odd but the rest of the car just sold it for us. I ordered from the top dealer in my state that had hundreds of allocations so at least I know it’s coming. Ordered black LT1 with Z51 package and a coupe other little silly things. So that’s where I’m at. I’m excited.

@SPOHN you made a good choice.
Of all sports cars out today, the C8 can't be beat. It checks off so many boxes!
How much are you paying for it out the door? (if you don't mind sticking around to share)

Ordered base LT1 with Z51 package (a must) with a couple of other small options. They only give car price for now. Taxes and fees later. Car was $66,900 with an additional retarded $1089 destination charge you can’t get away from. A $220 paper fee. Later on after delivery which may be 10 months they will add the tax, title stuff. Figuring $5K total there. Had to put $5K down to be allocated. Rick Hendrick dealer. Seems to be one of the better ones so far.

You really can’t beat the C8’s performance value, very track capable right out of the box. Good luck man👍

The C8 is definitely the way to go if you can't wait for a Z. Great choice @SPOHN! The lull of Z info from Nissan is getting annoying.

Still an incredible deal for what the C8 is.

If there's room in your budget later on, the hybrid C8 E-Ray will be an easy choice!

That thing is going to be scary fast if it's going hybrid.
This car offers so much. I’ve already upgraded. The 2LT package w/ Z1 performance package is the way to go. So much offered. Several cameras with track recorder and data overlap. Even the rear view mirror has a rear camera link to see better on this package. Ordered what they call shadow grey metallic. The best part my wife has been beyond supportive. But she’s always great. With the big allocations with this dealer they are expecting July delivery. So we’ll see.
