Has anyone who has made a preorder been able to make any changes to their order? Nissan Canada somehow put my car in as an auto I caught it very early (Feb. 10) and had my dealer change it. Both the sales man and whomever he contacted at Nissan Canada reassured me that it was no problem and it would be updated to a manual. But I have yet to receive any confirmation from anyone. My dealer is somewhat in the dark, but they assure me that the car will have the correct amount of pedals upon delivery. Nissan Canada has no idea what's what and sent me back to the dealer. Nissan Canada Reservations thinks I ordered an Ariya, a manual one at that (remarkable I got the only one). So I have no idea if by the time June rolls around I'll have an auto or manual car and I have no plans of taking delivery of an auto car...

As long as you have the info in writing by the dealership, no problems. If you don’t have it in writing THEN you have a problem. Good luck.

I have both an email and a text confirming that they have put the update in on the date I mentioned above. But with the lack of information from nissan one grows a bit skeptical. It also didn't help that the Canadian preorders had sold out all manuals by the time I realized the error, adding to my worry.

Have some Faith the odds are on your side. With the way things are going in the word the car maybe be your last consideration.

Honestly it really is a first world problems scenario. But none the less I still would like to receive the car I ordered. Hoping it works out, worst case scenario I'll just buy a nismo 370 and call it a day.

Firstly, Congratulations on ordering a new car. IMO, the vehicle is worth a wait. Isn't it?
Thanks. If the vehicle comes in the way I want it to, absolutely is worth the wait! If it doesn't, I'm not waiting until next year until they release more orders or whenever that may be. I already sold my focus rs in December, so I want another fun car for summer this year. Again, based on what's happening around the world, this is an incredibly big first world problem...

Most likely you are gonna have to wait a lot longer. Your dealership is clueless as to when they will receive their shipment or if they are going to have the car at all. With everything going on as you mentioned, things will get pushed back.

It's still in with every preorder made from Canada, Nissan only allowed a certain amount, so I dont really think that will change much, maybe a few weeks. And of course the dealer is clueless, everyone is, Nissan hasn't told anyone anything. As for the date, that's an "estimated" time given by Nissan to them though, which falls pretty well in line with all info that's been released on a timeline of the car arrival.

But again who really knows at this point.
