Has there been any actual release date info given by Nissan? I have heard anywhere from March 2021 to spring 2022. Just checking to see if anyone here has any real info on a hard release date. Thanks Guys!

There has been ZERO information from Nissan on anything other than design and that it's a twin turbo V6.

They gave hints about how the proto is 99% the production car. That they worked closely with engineering to ensure the design will not change much. Design said they handed the car off to engineering. That's pretty much all we know.

Yeah, I have literally no idea why Nissan is being so secretive with this. They can't even tell us the name.
Wack.

I get the frustration and I don’t get the delay in details either. I would expect those very soon at one of the upcoming auto shows. One thing we do know is that the new Z is coming. In terms of when, last word I heard was based on a Nissan vendor (production of parts) saying they’ve been told September.

I even stopped visiting this site, or as much as I used to, no new info ugh! Nissan is doing things wrong. All we need are small baits, that's all, not crickets! I've been searching for any 'news' nada!

Was at my dealer Monday - they confirmed I am first :) and said as of now still thinking late February/March to place order. No word on production.

Patience - I went through this with my 2008 Challenger SRT/8 - waited over a year and with my 2015 Hellcat Challenger waited about a year.

Very cool, that’s persistence, I should try with my local dealership which has been great over the years. Stay tuned...

No word on production, kind of strange, but it is what it is.

God I hope it's not 2022 I was hoping summer or fall of this year - I guess it is what it is
If they need a year or two to bring it to perfection, they should. Ya gotta do whatcha gotta do.

Same rule applies to cars.

I am a sucker for first year intros, 2006 E60 M5 V10, 2008 SRT/8 & 2015 HellCat - I have no problem waiting just hope it's not 2022

My friend works for a large dealership in the Midwest and he mentioned to me today that they expect the first allocation of the new Z in late July, which I found surprisingly early (I expected Fall 2021). The primary issue they ran into, as far as he's been told, is that COVID-19 shut down the factory while they were switching the line over so Nissan dragged their feet in announcing a release date because they legitimately didn't know.

I buy that, but it's far from official. I wish they'd issue a statement, frankly.

With them not putting out anything on the virtual Tokyo Auto salon my guess is 2022. It will come out in Japan 1st and I was hoping for a release date for Japan this last weekend.... Nothing... Not a word. So my guess is early 22 for Japan and mid 22 for rest of the world. Maybe Australia will go early as well. They want a major release with big fanfare and media and COVID is not going to let that happen. This is a major new release for them and with the state of the company they need it to be 100%. They could do better on the teasers though to help build the demand. I blame the old school thinking that still dominates much of Japanese business as they are slow to move to new things as ideas must flow from the top down. I am sure the marketing department would love to start pushing the car but we are stuck waiting for a senior salary man to "have the idea". Sorry for the rant... To many years living in japan I guess....

Nissan just needs to tell their loyal enthusiasts/market which half of whatever year. Then slowly release specs, that’s it. Doesn’t seem too tricky!
