I'll probably make a trip to Lake Tahoe when I do manage to get the car. I've always been using an SUV for that trip just to be on the safe side but every time we go, it never snows--just moist weather. I'll bet dealer markups are going to be off the charts. All the more to be saving up money.

TBH, I will take some time getting used to the Z's driving dynamics and learning its limits. Of course that won't guarantee anything come time to take on the dragon but I also won't be an idiot while on it.

first time i ever went up there I was in my 2003 Touring Z without the brembos and I trail braked so bad because I had never been up the dragon and I caught them on fire and they were smoking at that scenic pull over towards the end
thats just life lessons you gotta learn yourself. I made it into Nissan sport magazine on that run with this pic!
I had a few Zdayz buddies go off. 2 in Zs and one totaled a GTR
I think I have one of the best dragon stories ever ...that I think its ok to tell now that 13 years has past... I was riding shotgun in a 2008 GTR preproduction car test car ( only one in the US I think at the time and it might be the same silver one sitting down the the Nissan Heritage Museum if that one is LHD? @DAN_PASSE ?
so anyways I was with a Nissan Rep that brought the car out....who I believe works for the company outside the US now. We might have been flexing Godzillas muscles a little blowing past some guys in Zs and may or may not have gotten pulled over by a park ranger and I may or may not have had to play it cool and go through the glove compartment looking through all types of top secret paper work to try to find a registration that didnt exist

I have only had 1 car that I ever specifically took on a road trip to hoon, and that was my 2016 GTI DSG with JB4 tuner. We took it to CA Highway 1 and a bunch of crazy roads in AZ I know of, and man it was wayy too much fun. I'd probably re-do that trip in the Z. I currently have a Q60 and TBH it's not much fun at all in the twisties, so I haven't done a hoon trip since my GTI.
I'd also like to try a track event in the Z, I've never done that before, but I don't know where to go in the Seattle area (especially since it rains a lot here).
