Forbes is reporting that we can see a hybrid and electric drive system in future Z cars.
If you want to take the Z brand to a new level in performance this is certainly a way to do it. I'm all for the push towards electrification so long as Nissan keeps a gas option as well.
"Firstly, Japan’s second biggest carmaker plans to reveal a heavily facelifted 370Z in 2021 packing a 400hp twin turbo V6. Then, in 2025, wearing a totally new body, Nissan will launch a radical all-new Z brandishing the company’s signature e-Power series hybrid system."
"Taking the Z brand into the future however, headed for a 2025 debut, will be an all-new model based on Nissan’s IMQ concept vehicle which first appeared at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. At the heart of the IMQ is the brand’s next generation power source, e-POWER, a 100% electric motor drive system that delivers instantaneous explosive acceleration."
